With the Heavy Metal programme of the Museum of Old & New Art (MONA) in Hobart, Tasmania. Utilising Sentinel-2 from the Copernicus satellite constellation, we created a super-classified algorithm to map seagrass within the Derwent river. Also mapping turbidity & on site zinc measurements allowed us to explore the relationships between heavy metals moving through turbidity within the water column and having an adverse affect on fragile seagrass meadows. Seagrass is an important bio-indicator for understanding the health of our waterways.
